Sponge cakes work best for last-minute orders - the fresher they are, the more delicious. Fruit cakes are less suitable as they'll be very crumbly if they don't have time to mature! See the flavours and fillings page for ideas.

a note about delivery

I'm based in Gloucestershire and will deliver and set up wedding cakes to locations where I can reasonably get there and back within a day. For more information about the potential costs involved see my FAQs list.
If your location is much more than 120 miles from GL19 3JB (my postcode), I may be able to help you if someone can collect the cake from here. The cake tiers are usually individually boxed and are robust enough to cope with fairly sedate driving conditions, but once they leave my premises they're your responsibility. I take the view that wedding cakes are too fragile to send by courier.
