Always a very keen cake maker for herself, family and friends, Catherine Mason Cakes, a new venture, allows her to give full vent to her cake-making inclinations while still managing to keep something resembling a waistline!
She is perhaps better known as a writer of vegetarian cookery books which have quietly gained a following over the last few years. A dedicated gardener, much of her food inspiration derives from the fresh output of her large kitchen garden, which also supplies some ingredients for the cakes (strawberries and raspberries for the jam, carrots for the carrot cakes).
